“Sleep Well, Good Old Man” habe ich für meinen 2013 verstorbenen Großvater geschrieben, zu dem ich ein sehr gutes Verhältnis hatte. Seine abenteuerlichen Reiseberichte aus fernen Ländern haben mich immer begeistert und inspiriert. Er war ein echter Lebemann und mit 87 Jahren bereit, sich zu verabschieden. Auch wenn es immer sehr traurig ist, wenn einer seiner Liebsten von einem geht, so war er doch mit sich und der Welt im Reinen und bereit, sich schlafen zu legen. Ich denke, seine Unbeschwertheit und das melancholische, aber auch positive Gefühl des Abschieds ist auch in dem Song zu hören. Für mich ist es nach wie vor ein sehr bewegendes Klavierstück: Sleep Well, Good Old Man…

Hope you are well. I got to know about you when you came to Lüneburg this year may be in October. Not sure could be in September too. I was walking around and suddenly saw your ‘Travelling Piano’. It was a bit surprising for me that someone actually can travel with his piano and also someone can be so lucky to follow his dreams. I took one of your cards and since then I became a little fan of the ‘Piano’.You were fantastic on that day. I just want to wish you good luck. Whatever you are doing, you are doing amazing. Oh hey 🙂 Thanks so much for your kind words! I’m glad you get inspired through my and my piano’s journey through life. I’m doing more concerts now, less street music, I’ll have 2 concerts in Hamburg on 2nd and 3rd of October 2019, maybe that would be something for you.
